How Marketplace Business uses Leadto provide a steady stream of potential new customers.

Almost everyone in the Netherlands knows Marktplaats, an online marketplace that gives products a second life. Less well known is Marktplaats Zakelijk, which allows entrepreneurs to advertise their products, services and cars on the largest trading platform in the Netherlands, with more than 8 million visitors a month. This allows SMEs to generate new sales inexpensively.

Before Leadto

In late 2023, Leadto engaged with the sales team of Marktplaats Business via our proprietary software: "practice what you preach". At the time, the New Business Sales Team was looking for an effective and scalable process for generating quality leads within the SMB segment.

In the past, the New Business Account manager used tools such as Lusha and Sales Navigator. However, an ongoing outreach process was missing. Through LinkedIn, messages were often ignored and it was not always possible to find the right person within SME niches. Telephone acquisition led to frustration in the sales team, as decision-makers were often shielded by a good gatekeeper.

With Leadto

During the onboarding process, Leadto worked with Marktplaats Zakelijk's sales team to establish a number of CPIs. These were categorised, through detailed industry segmentation, into relevant target groups. The initial lists were then supplemented with account and prospect data. As Marktplaats Zakelijk has thousands of customers, it is essential that Leadto supports in approaching unknown companies.

Marktplaats's sales team is now conducting continuous outreach campaigns towards these target groups, both in the Netherlands and Belgium (2eHands.be). Leadto's Customer Success Team keeps short lines and discusses target group performance on a monthly basis. New Business Managers receive appointments directly in their own mailbox, giving them full control over their calendar and generating a steady stream of potential new customers.

This already resulted in 13 new clients (and a multitude of warm leads) after six months of working together.

Leadto generates lead campaigns for us, making more efficient use of time and much better focus on closing the deal.
